Green Flag Sites

Did you know that there are 26 Green Flag award winning parks and open spaces across the Borough? Why not take some time to pay a visit?

The Green Flag Award is an international certification which recognises parks and open spaces with high levels of maintenance, facilities and community involvement.

It's important because the Green Flags Awards are about connecting people with the very best parks and green spaces. It’s the benchmark for parks and green spaces in the UK and beyond. Wherever you see a Green Flag, you know you’re visiting an exceptional place with the highest standards.

The community award is the equivalent award for community groups that maintain a site.

Parks and open spaces are an important resource for people and wildlife. So, if you want to blow the winter cobwebs away or simply take the dog for a walk, explore the list below to find somewhere special to suit you in the Borough!
