Council operates a number of allotment sites across the Borough including Ballyearl, Rathfern, Greystone in Antrim and New Mossley, which offer over 160 plots to local residents and community groups.

In addition to this, there are also a number of community and privately operated sites across the Borough.moved from the flat cap image of the past, allotments are very sociable and a great way to meet fellow gardeners, relax and stay fit and active.

If you are interested in gardening but don’t have room at home, renting an allotment is an inexpensive way of gardening in your own space. Grow your own fruit and vegetables, try out different varieties and get involved in this growing past time with fellow gardeners exchanging tips and ideas.

Over the next 18 months, Council has committed to invest over £200,000 in allotment provision right across the Borough.
