Consultation Process Now Closed
Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is developing design proposals for environmental improvements in Glengormley town centre, including parts of the Antrim Road, Ballyclare Road, Hightown Road, Farmley Road, Carnmoney Road, Church Road, Farrier Court, Glenwell Road, Church Way, and the Tramways Centre.
These enhancements include resurfacing and improvements to the existing footways, carriageway and public spaces, new lighting, new street furniture, and soft landscaping.
The proposals have been developed by the Council, as part of their ongoing commitment to creating a vibrant and attractive town centre, and delivering regeneration and economic development throughout Glengormley.

We Want to Hear from You!
The Council is undertaking a Community Consultation exercise to gather views from stakeholders in relation to the proposed environmental improvements, prior to finalising the design proposals and making a formal planning application to the Planning Authority.
You can find out about the project, view the draft proposals, and provide feedback via the consultation, until 11 November 2022 (inclusive) in the following ways.
1) Public Consultation Event

Wednesday 26 October | 12noon – 7pm
Presentation of Draft Proposals at 5.30pm
A Public Consultation Event will take place on 26 October where the Council and its design team, RPS will be available to talk through the proposals, answer any queries and receive feedback. A presentation on the draft proposals will be delivered and members of the public are invited to attend.
2) Online / Telephone Consultation
Thursday 27 October | Between 12noon - 7pm
An online / telephone consultation event will be held on 27 October where the Council and its design team, RPS will be available to talk through the proposals, answer any queries and receive feedback.
