The Local Economic Partnership (LEP) has been established through funding from the Department for the Economy (DfE) aimed to strengthening the local economy by providing practical support to businesses and social enterprises—helping them access funding, technical expertise, and opportunities for growth. The LEP Business Digitisation Programme helps businesses in Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough embrace digital tools and technology to boost productivity and competitiveness. What’s available?

Grants from £1,000 to £5,000 (up to 80% of project costs, excluding VAT).

All supported projects require a matched co-investment from Applicant Companies at a minimum of 20% of the overall project costs
Who can apply?
- Businesses based in Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough.
- A small (10-49 employees), micro business (1-9 employees) or Social Enterprise.
- Are not in receipt of other public funding for the same purpose.
- Have a Business Digitisation Project or are able to demonstrate a project central to the theme of Business Digitisation.
How to apply?
The LEP Business Digitisation Programme is a competitive process (rather than first come first served) where applications are scored according to:
- The potential for digital improvement of the applicant/business as a result of the investment project
- The potential economic impact in terms of increasing turnover and creating good quality and sustainable jobs for the business
- The business performance improvements that are likely to result from the investment, including increased productivity and scalability of the business.
