We are continuing to support businesses during these challenging economic times. Whilst we recognise that trade has been severely impacted by COVID-19, customer confidence is central to ensuring the sustainability of businesses for the local economy.

To promote confidence and support our businesses, the Council has introduced a COVID-19 Confidence Mark Scheme, called 'Covid-Aware' which signifies to customers that participating businesses are striving to do all they can to ensure customer safety.

To participate in the scheme, simply complete the below checklist which outlines the minimum criteria required for any business wishing to display the COVID-19 Confidence Mark. Once verified by our Environmental Health team, you will be emailed the Covid-Aware Certificate to display on your premises (a hard copy can be posted if required).

1. Control of numbers in store?:

2. Provision of hand sanitiser at entrance:

3. Floor markings in place for social distancing:

4. Prominent display of face covering sign:

Whilst these criteria are an indication of the minimum standards being implemented to keep your customers safe, you must ensure that your business complies with all of the legal requirements implemented throughout the pandemic.
