John Cooney is an Irish Rugby union player who plays as scrum-half for Ulster in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. One of the finest kickers in World Rugby, in 2023 he became the only the second player in Ulster’s history to score 1000 points. He has also previously played for Leinster and Connacht.
Conor McManus is a former Monaghan Gaelic footballer. A 3 time All-Star he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the county's history. He is Monaghan's all-time top scorer in the National Football League and Ireland’s Top Scorer in every International Series he played in. From 2008 to 2024 he scored 9-291 in championship football, putting him 4th in the list of all-time top scorers.
