Seamus Heaney was perhaps one of the most famous poets in the world in the last one hundred years. His accomplishment is revered globally as a Nobel Prize winning poet, critic and commentator. Less well known is the engagement that his work has with Ulster-Scots literature and language. In this talk, Dr Frank Ferguson (Ulster University) will explore Heaney’s long affiliation with Scots and Ulster-Scots literary forms, writing and language.
