In this body of work Linda explores the intimate relationship between Writer and house, the architecture of creativity, the rooms that witness inspiration, solitude, and the flux between memory and invention.
She is drawn to details, the way the light enters a study at dusk, the worn threshold of a doorway, the stacking of books, the quiet comfort of a chair, and believes that, by attending to the domestic and the mundane, the grander visions of literature and imagination become more present, textured and human.
Technology, paint, collage, found objects are all materials Linda uses to collapse the boundary between what is archival and what is invented.
