Skate Activation Event Postponed: Updated 28 August, 11.30am
Due to the wet weather forecast for Saturday 29 August, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and Skateboard NI have made the difficult decision to postpone the Skate Activation Event at Skate 100, V36, Newtownabbey. If you have registered for this event, you should have received an email to let you know that the event has been postponed.
A new date in September will be confirmed in due course.
There is no need to register again. We will contact all registered participants as soon as the new date has been confirmed.
We apologise for any disappointment and thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to the rescheduled event.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, in partnership with Skateboard NI, is hosting a series of Skate Activation Events at Skate 100, V36, Newtownabbey. Open to skateboarders of all ages and abilities, the events aim to celebrate skate culture, encourage participation in action sports and promote opportunities ahead of the new skate facility planned for Antrim Forum.
Supported through the PEACEPLUS Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), each event will feature lessons and learning demonstrations in a fun and inclusive environment.

Saturday 29 August 2026 | 11am-5pm
- 11am-12.30pm: Ages 6-10
- 1pm-2.30pm: Ages 11-14
- 3pm-4.30pm: Ages 15+
