The Nutcracker

This year’s production unveils an exciting new version staged by acclaimed Turkish choreographers Volkan Ersoy and Murat Akaoğlu. Performed by our talented students, who train intensively with the Youth Ballet Company’s teachers Adéla Liškova, Neil Towers and Rana O'Brien, the performance is a true celebration of their dedication, artistry, and growth. High Points Youth Ballet is delighted to present this year’s Nutcracker with the joy of artistic collaboration at its heart. We are thrilled to welcome the talented adult dancers of Second Chance Ballet, who bring their artistry and passion to our festive party scene, enriching the performance with their presence. We are equally excited to share the stage with the gifted young artists of S-MB Company from Scotland, whose dedication and talent add an inspiring dimension to our production.

These collaborations remind us that ballet is not only about tradition and excellence, but also about community, connection, and the joy of dancing together. Step into Clara’s enchanting Christmas Eve dream, where dolls and snowflakes come to life, toy soldiers battle the fearsome Rat King, and the Sugar Plum Fairy reigns in a dazzling kingdom of sweets. With sparkling dancing, Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music, and a story full of wonder, The Nutcracker is the perfect way to celebrate the season with family and friends.
