Coach Education Workshop: Speed, Agility & Performance

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is hosting a free practical coach education workshop designed to help coaches develop speed, agility and athletic performance.

Learn from former Irish sprint champion Anna Boyle and Performance Coach Michael McAuley and gain practical drills, coaching techniques and insights that can be applied across a range of sports and ability levels.

The workshop will cover:

• Developing speed and agility through practical drills
• Building strong technical foundations for efficient movement
• Improving acceleration and athletic performance
• Reducing injury risk through effective movement preparation
• Supporting long-term athletic development
• Applying speed and strength principles to athletes and teams

Who is it for? Sports coaches from clubs across all sports.

Meet the Experts

Anna Boyle is a former Irish sprint champion and multiple national title holder with extensive expertise in sprint mechanics, acceleration and speed development.

Michael McAuley specialises in speed, strength and athletic development, working with athletes across a range of sports and performance levels.

The session will combine practical drills, demonstrations and coaching insights that participants can take back to their clubs and training sessions.

• This event will be held at the Northern Ireland Centenary Stadium, Antrim.
