Following the success of two Medical Administration Training Academies delivered earlier this year in other council areas, the Northern GP Federation Support Unit (NFSU) is pleased to announce that funding has been secured to bring this successful initiative to Antrim and Newtownabbey, starting January 2026.
Delivered in partnership with, and funded by, the Antrim and Newtownabbey Labour Market Partnership (LMP), this 8-week programme prepares participants for administrative roles within GP practices by developing key skills, knowledge, and confidence required in a busy healthcare setting.
Previous academies recorded excellent outcomes, with 100% completion rates and over half of participants securing employment or work experience in local GP practices.
