Join this three-week Phlebotomy Academy funded through Antrim and Newtownabbey Labour Market Partnership and delivered by Northern Regional College where you will learn from industry experts and be introduced to Phlebotomy. The Academy introduces you to the initial theoretical knowledge underpinning the practice of phlebotomy.

This qualification is aimed at those who are interested in pursuing a career as a phlebotomist or related job role.

- Demonstrate application and release of a tourniquet and taking blood from a dummy arm
- Caring for Patients during the Phlebotomy Procedure
- Understanding Phlebotomy Skills and Techniques
Who can apply?
Eligibility criteria:
- Age - 18+
- Resident of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council
- Be committed and able to fully participate in all aspects of the training programme including any examination process.
- Demonstrate willingness to work within or improve their employment prospects within the sector.
- Meet all pre-conditions of the programme that may be stipulated by employers.
