Location: Workforce Training Services, 465–467 Antrim Road, Belfast, BT15 3BJ

A practical training programme for unemployed or underemployed residents interested in building a career within the warehousing industry. Participants will develop essential workplace skills and gain industry-relevant knowledge through accredited training and hands-on learning.

Training includes:
• Manual Handling
• Customer Service Skills
• COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
• Optional Forklift Licence Training

DAY	ACTIVITY	DURATION	CONTENT
Monday 18 May	Welcome Breakfast and Induction.	9.30am-10.00pm	Welcome & Introduction to the Warehousing and Forklift Academy
	Health & Safety in the workplace.	10.00am-12.30pm	The course content will ensure that participants understand: Health & safety requirements in the workplace. Hazard & risk and the main causes of harm to workers.
Tuesday 19 May	First Aid at Work	9.30am-12.30pm	Participants will learn how to administer first aid to a casualty in a range of scenarios in the Workplace and beyond.
Wednesday 20 May	Manual Handling	9.30am- 12.30pm	Manual Handling - To inform participants regarding the safe lifting of loads within industry.
Thursday 21 May	COSHH	9.30am- 12.30pm	COSHH - To inform participants regarding dangerous and Hazardous substances.
Friday 22 May	Employability Session.	9.30am- 12.30pm	An opportunity for participants to ensure CV is updated and to undertake interview techniques and training.
