Salim's Story

Salim, a young and determined boxer, has recently taken a fresh step in his career by joining the Antrim & Newtownabbey Pathway programme designed to enhance his skills and broaden his opportunities. This fresh start is not just about physical improvement; it is about strengthening his confidence, motivation, and mental resilience. The program is tailored to push him past his limits, focusing on both soft and hard skill development. Salim is also building a deeper sense of self-belief and personal growth. Through the Pathway Programme Salim is now working towards an NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating offering him a valuable alternative career pathway beyond the ring—one that ensures his future, whether in sport or beyond.

Salim is extremely appreciative of the training and support he has received through Workforce. He admits that without the Pathway Programme, he would not have known about the resources available to him. The programme has been a game-changer, introducing him to valuable opportunities that have helped him build both his skills and confidence. Salim credits the Pathway Programme for not only enhancing his career prospects but also for providing the guidance and encouragement to explore new pathways, such as his pursuit of an NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating. The support he has received has made all the difference in his personal and professional growth.
