Skate 100 is one of the largest skate parks in the UK and Ireland and is now open at the V36 Valley Park, Newtownabbey!

The 14,000 square-foot skate park is a must see for urban sports enthusiasts and is suitable for:

  • Skateboards

  • Scooters

  • Inline skaters 

  • Parkour 

  • BMX free-style bikes

Skate 100 is designed for thrills, flips and fun. It features a 10 foot deep bowl, ledges, stairs, ledges, banks, sharp hips, waterfalls and volcanos.

A project supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

Skate 100 was designed by Jeremy Donaldson (Curve Studio) and Concreate.  It was constructed by Martin Contracting Services and Concreate.

 

Opening hours

Skatepark is open from dawn to dusk. Floodlights will switch off at 10pm. 

 

Health and safety 

  • Wear appropriate clothing: safety helmets, gloves, arm and leg protection and long trousers.

  • Always skate within your own capabilities.

  • Make sure your equipment is in good working order.

  • Consider others when using the facility.

  • No gum, food or drinks on the skate surface.

  • No electrical devices are allowed in the skate park (i.e. electric scooters, hover boards, electric bikes etc.)

  • Adult supervision is recommended for skaters younger than 10 years old.
  • Never skate on your own.

  • No snaking, if you’re waiting on a ramp, you’re in a queue. Don’t go before others have finished.

  • Watch out for other users at all times (check behind you).

  • Stand back from the edge of all ramps while waiting (no overhanging wheels or legs).

  • Don’t sit on the ramps or the obstacles.

  • Don’t cut across the bottom of the ramps or ride in from the side.

  • Leave belongings at the side – not on the ramps or obstacles.
