Clean, Safe and Hygienic Pool Water

Both Valley pools use sand filtration with chlorination as the primary disinfectant and the latest UV technology as a secondary disinfectant to ensure our water is safe and clean. Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection is an established treatment for pools to kill bacteria, viruses, their spores, cysts and protozoa without affecting the taste, odour or pH balance of the water. UV disinfects against chlorine resistant micro-organisms and chloramines making the Valley pools amongst the cleanest and most hygienic in Northern Ireland.
