Quest Success for Antrim and Newtownabbey

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is delighted to announce the Valley Leisure Centre has now become the sixth Council leisure centre to gain Quest accreditation.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is delighted to announce the Valley Leisure Centre has now become the sixth Council leisure centre to gain Quest accreditation. This is the first time the centre has ever been awarded the prestigious accreditation. Last year, Antrim Forum and Crumlin Leisure Centre retained their existing accreditation, with Allen Park, Ballyearl and Sixmile Leisure Centres all gaining the award. Quest is specific to the leisure industry and demonstrates high standards of good practice and continuous improvement in all aspects of the leisure centre.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman John Smyth commented,

‘The Quest accreditation involves a rigorous day long assessment measuring many areas such as customer experience, cleaning, health and safety to name a few and so the centre staff should be very proud of this accreditation. I would like to thank the staff for their hard work and dedication in making this happen and to congratulate them all on this superb achievement – well done.’
