Thinking of applying for a leisure grant with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council? Now it’s even easier to do, so why not come along to one of our information nights? Clubs, elite athletes, sports officials and governing bodies of Sport are invited to attend one of the workshops for more information. The sessions will be taking place in Antrim Civic Centre on Tuesday 26 February at 6.30pm and in Mossley Mill on Wednesday 27 February at 6.30pm. These sessions will provide further detail on the leisure grants programme, criteria required to apply and any changes which will be coming into effect on 1st April 2019.

The Leisure Grant Scheme has been in place since May 2015 and has significantly benefited numerous elite athletes and Sports Clubs within the Borough. A recent review of the programme has helped make the process simpler and clearer for applicants and offers new opportunities to local athletes, clubs and officials alongside Governing Bodies who wish to have events within the Borough. Community organisations will also have the opportunity to apply for 100% funding towards the purchase of a defibrillator.

For more information on our leisure grants including how much you can apply for and when to apply E. leisure.grants@antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk Details of the new grants will also be available online from Mid-March 2019.
