Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough has once again proved its Blooming Marvellous at this year’s Translink Ulster in Bloom Competition.
Development Trusts NI (DTNI) launched the project ‘Creating Local Resilient Economies’ with the publication of Time to Build an Inclusive Local Economy. A Charter for Change in May 2019. The project is unique to Northern Ireland and aims to explore progressive strategies to build local community wealth and address economic inequalities in our society.

On Saturday 28 September, Market Square in Antrim will come to life with an artisan food and craft market organised by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
The hard work, dedication and passion of a group of local volunteers for keeping their town blooming and beautiful all-year-round has been rewarded with the highest form of civic recognition.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman John Smyth welcomed representatives from FOCUS and Pieta House to Antrim Civic Centre to present a cheque for £11718.75.
