Export Success in Gilbert, Arizona for Environmental Street Furniture

Environmental Street Furniture (ESF), the Newtownabbey based supplier of street furniture and solar products, has recently secured an exclusive contract to supply its products to Gilbert, Arizona following support from Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. 

Known for their award-winning export capabilities, which include some of the world’s largest theme parks and government organisations, ESF secured the contract to provide their innovative solar benches to Desert Sky Park in Gilbert, Arizona.
 
Speaking about ESF’s success, Managing Director, Alan Lowry said, “ESF are delighted to have secured this contract on the first phase of this new prestigious development in partnership with Gilbert council. Our Stellar Solar bench offers ‘smart city’ technology at an affordable price and can be themed to meet design criteria. We would not have had this opportunity if it wasn’t for the fantastic and ongoing support from the Council and their economic development team.”
 
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman John Smyth commented, “I would like to congratulate the company in securing this impressive order. Significantly, this deal was secured following the companies participation on Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s trade visit to Gilbert in November 2018, which shows the value that Northern Ireland businesses can take from trade missions and from working with their local Council.”
 
Chief Executive of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Jacqui Dixon said “This impressive export success by ESF highlights the importance of our sister cities link with Gilbert and the Greater Phoenix area in Arizona.  This represents a significant part of our economic development strategy and we will continue to explore any opportunities and benefits that arise from this relationship which has been developed over 20 years through an ongoing series of outward and inward visits.”
 
Town Manager of Gilbert Patrick Banger commented “Meeting Alan and learning about his Stellar Solar bench at last year’s trade mission was the key to this transaction.  We’re excited to get the benches installed at our new 115 acre Desert Sky Park which opens in September.”
 
Environmental Street Furniture has experienced an array of global success since breaking into the export market in 2013. In 2018, the company supplied products to 22 countries globally and opened their first American office, which will allow them to better service their American customers. The company were recent winners of the Innovation Award d at the Family Business of the Year Awards in London.
