Mayor sparks children’s creativity with Christmas Card competition

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery is seeking the help of the children from across the Borough to get creative and come up with some fun, festive ideas this year in designing his Christmas card.
 

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery is seeking the help of the children from across the Borough to get creative and come up with some fun, festive ideas this year in designing his Christmas card.

The Mayor will select his favourite entry and this will be printed and used as the Council's Christmas card for 2020. The overall winner will also receive a £100 Amazon gift voucher from the Mayor and one year's MORE Family Leisure Membership.
 
In addition to the overall winner there will be an area winner announced at each of the Council's seven Christmas Light switch on ceremonies which will take place virtually this year. These winners will receive a fun filled stocking full of treats which will be delivered directly to their door by the main man himself 'Santa’ during the virtual switch on events.
 

The Mayor, Councillor Jim Montgomery said “I am looking forward to receiving all the wonderful entries. I know this has been a difficult year but with the help of the young people we can help spread some festive cheer across the Borough”.
