Marks and Spencer staff donation to Council’s Christmas Toy Schemes

Staff members from Marks and Spencer, Newtownabbey, donated £700 worth of brand new toys to the Council’s Christmas Community Toy Schemes, supporting local families in need this year.

Staff members from Marks and Spencer, Newtownabbey, donated £700 worth of brand new toys to the Council’s Christmas Community Toy Schemes, supporting local families in need this year. Team Manager Lisa McCall led this amazing initiative supported by Store Manager, John Woods who were both overwhelmed by the generosity of staff.

The toys will be distributed through the Council’s Christmas Community Toy Schemes to families this Christmas. In addition to the toys donated to the Council a further £200 worth of brand new toys were also directly donated by M&S staff to Women’s Aid ABCLN.

 

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Billy Webb said “I was delighted to receive this heart-warming donation on behalf of the Council. The kindness of people never ceases to amaze me and I know these toys will bring joy to so many local families this Christmas.”
