Council supports Antrim & Newtownabbey Pipe Band Festival

The Council is pleased to support Antrim & Newtownabbey Pipe Band Festival at the award winning Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday 7 August. 

The Council is pleased to support Antrim & Newtownabbey Pipe Band Festival at the award winning Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday 7 August. The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Northern Ireland Branch, will present this musical festival where numerous bands from across Northern Ireland will take part, filling the gardens with the haunting sound of the pipes. This is a great opportunity for the public to enjoy the fantastic Pipe Bands, Drum Majors and Highland Dancers in action once again.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Billy Webb said

“It is great to welcome this event back to Antrim Castle Gardens and the visitors it attracts to the Borough. The unmistakable sounds of the pipes and colours of the tartan make this musical spectacular a great family day out.”

To ensure public safety and to adhere with social distance guidelines there are limited tickets available for this event which must be booked in advance. Entry will only be permitted on receipt of a ticket.

Tickets are priced at £1 each and can be purchased online at antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk/events or for telephone sales please call Clotworthy House on 028 9448 1338.

Admission is from 12 noon with the event beginning at 2pm. Please use town centre car parking as onsite is for accessible parking only.
