Council’s provides £15k Sponsorship for Irish Game Fair

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council will be providing £15,000 sponsorship for the Irish Game Fair and Fine Food Festival 2021. This annual celebration of country sports, farming and fine food is set to return to Shanes Castle, Antrim from 26 to 27 June 2021.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery welcomed the decision saying,

“I am delighted the Council is showing support for this annual event. The Irish Game Fair has been part of the Borough’s event calendar for many years and attracts tens of thousands from across the province, boosting our local economy with visitor spend.

“Planning events in the context of COVID19 is challenging, and I recognise the extra lengths the event organisers have gone to, to ensure the event remains agile enough to meet COVID19 restrictions and regulations. I wish them every success for this year’s event.”
