Mayor and Minister Officially Open £2.3million Gateway Visitor Centre

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery was joined by the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Edwin Poots MLA to officially open the new £2.3m Gateway Visitor Centre, Antrim. Nestled on the shores of Lough Neagh, this state-of-the-art visitor centre features an exciting, new exhibition space, a restaurant and is also home to Lough Neagh Rescue.

The New Airtastic Newtownabbey - Now Open

Airtastic Entertainment Centres opened a brand new multi activity centre is Newtownabbey yesterday. Located in the former ToysRUs building on Mill Road, the new Airtastic is now ready to welcome customers of all ages to bounce on the massive Inflata Park, play ten pin Bowling on one of the 12 lanes featuring the latest high tech, to play a round of space themed Adventure Golf, to challenge themselves in the huge play-for-prizes Amusements, to celebrate their birthday parties and to enjoy delicious food at NY Kitchen.

Over £1.1million MORE Investment for Antrim Forum

Residents will soon be able to get MORE active, MORE often in a new state-of-the-art fitness facility at Antrim Forum. With an investment of around £1.14million, it is anticipated that the new modernised fitness facility will open in spring 2022. The major refurbishment will include the latest fitness technology, incorporating a mixture of cardiovascular and resistance machines, a world class strength and conditioning area, as well as a functional training zone.
