Thank You!

Volunteer week will run from 1-7 June. A time to say thanks to our amazing volunteers for the selfless work they carry out each and every day. Council plans to support this event with an online programme, as we are still unable to get together and celebrate this as a community.
 
A different theme will take place every day which includes,

• A Time to say Thanks

• The Power of Youth

• Employer Supported & Skilled Volunteering

• Home Nation Priorities

• Environment & Conservation

• The Big Lunch

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Jim Montgomery said “There is no question that the past year has highlighted the invaluable services that volunteers contribute to our communities. This week is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on these wonderful people who give up so much of their time to help those in need”.

Council will also add their support by lighting up its Civic Buildings purple on Tuesday 1 June.
