• Waste Collections
  • Due to recent weather conditions, there have been severe disruptions to collections across the Borough. Crews will be attempting to collect all missed areas on Saturday 11th January.
  • Black/Blue Bins
  • If your blue or black bin has not been collected by late afternoon on Saturday 11th January, please leave your bins kerbside for 7am on Monday 13th January to facilitate collection.
  • Wheelie boxes
  • If your wheelie box has not been collected by late afternoon on Saturday 11th January it will be collected at the next scheduled date. Crews will take overflow bags, one material in each, no glass.

July Holiday Arrangements 2022

Holiday Arrangements for Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July 2022. 

Civic Buildings   

  • Antrim Civic Centre – Closed   
  • Mossley Mill – Closed   

Registration and Cemeteries Admin

  • Registration will be closed on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July. Offices will reopen as normal on Thursday 14 July.

Leisure Facilities

  • The following leisure centres will be closed on both Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July: Antrim Forum, Crumlin Leisure Centre, Sixmile Leisure Centre, Valley Leisure Centre and the MORE Team Hub will also be closed.
  • The following leisure facilities will be open on both Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July: Allen Park and Ballyearl Leisure and Arts Centre.

Waste and Recycling

  • All five Household Recycling Centres will be closed on Tuesday 12 July only.  

Refuse Collection

  • Antrim household and recycling bin collections from Tuesday 12 July will now operate on Friday 15 July. 
  • Newtownabbey household and recycling bin collections will operate on the following day of normal collection:
    • Newtownabbey collections normally collected on Tuesday 12 July, will be collected on Wednesday 13 July.
    • Newtownabbey collections normally collected on Wednesday 13 July, will be collected on Thursday 14 July.
    • Newtownabbey collections normally collected on Thursday 14 July, will be collected on Friday 15 July.
    • Newtownabbey collections normally collected on Friday 15 July, will be collected on Saturday 16 July.
    • Newtownabbey wheelie box collection normally collected on Tuesday 12 July will have been collected on Saturday 9 July.
