Residents from Radius Housing (Maine Fold) and Groggan Primary School children, come together to dig in and plant a tree for Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in Randalstown.
The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Billy Webb brought both ends of the age spectrum together in this intergenerational initiative, the Mayor said;
“Planting trees for the Jubilee project is about more than just planting, we’re bringing generations of old and young together, creating memories and sharing stories. It is important that children learn from generations gone by as they are our future.”
The initiative is part of a series of projects under the Queen’s Green Canopy Project.
