The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Billy Webb, has officially cut the turf to mark the start of work on the Clockwork Garden at Antrim Castle Gardens.
Designed by celebrity gardener and Garden Show Ireland ambassador Diarmuid Gavin, the Clockwork Garden will be the first of its kind to assume permanent residency in any garden across the UK. Visitors to Garden Show Ireland, running from Friday 29 April until Sunday 1 May, will be given the chance to catch a glimpse of the Clockwork Garden build in real time.
The unique installation will form part of the forthcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations and leave a lasting legacy to be enjoyed for years to come.
