Do you know someone who makes a real difference to your community through their volunteering work? Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council are looking for your nominations for the Spirit of Volunteering Awards to recognise and reward volunteers for the amazing work they do.
Volunteers play an integral role in our communities and the Spirit of Volunteering Awards is the perfect opportunity to nominate those people who go the extra mile to help others. By willingly giving their time to volunteering, they are changing the lives of others as well as their own.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Billy Webb said; “I have visited many organisations across the Borough, and I have seen first-hand the selfless activities undertaken by volunteers every day to help improve the lives of others in their communities, often without recognition.
“Through the Spirit of Volunteering awards, the Council want to recognise those who have given much of their time to volunteering. I would encourage you to nominate those people in your communities and show your appreciation for their invaluable service.”
The Spirit of Volunteering Awards is open to residents of our Borough or those who volunteer within our Borough.
