Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s Planning Committee has given the green light to Tyre Call for a new storage and distribution warehouse at its Antrim base.
One of Northern Ireland's leading wholesaler for car, van, suv, truck, agricultural & industrial tyres, Tyre Call has been operational at Killybegs Industrial Estate Antrim for 23 years.
Plans for the new 7,361.36-sqm distribution warehouse also include 774.7 sqm office and ancillary space over three floors, access and parking provision and all other associated site works to include for hard and soft landscaping works.
This new warehouse facility will represent a significant investment of £6M to the Borough and will create 20 construction jobs with an additional 30 operational jobs when complete.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Mark Cooper said;
“Antrim is a prime location for business, this investment by Tyre Call is a great boost for the local economy with the creation of multiple jobs in both construction and manufacturing sectors.”
Chair of Planning Committee Councillor Robert Foster added;
“Tyre Call is a leading business located in our Borough. I am delighted that plans for a £6M investment to extend their business have been approved, allowing them to meet with business demand and offer more options for the buyer “.
