Antrim Forum £2.4m Fitness Suite Investment is Under Way

Work on the £2.4million investment is under way at Antrim Forum’s Fitness Suite. This extensive renovation will radically transform the fitness space into a state-of-the-art facility.

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross unveiled the latest fitness suite plans at the opening of the temporary fitness suite, which will allow MORE members to continue with their exercise as construction work in the main fitness suite progresses.

The Mayor commented, “I’m delighted to be unveiling the exciting plans for the new Antrim Forum fitness suite and to open the temporary fitness suite. This investment will elevate the facilities we have in the centre and take our fitness offering to the next level.

The Mayor continued, “This investment has been planned for some time now and many of our loyal customers will be excited to see the new fitness suite coming to fruition.”

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has appointed one of the world’s leading fitness equipment manufacturers, Technogym to deliver functional, strength, cardio and conditioning-based equipment into the new Fitness Suite. Customers will be able to enjoy the full benefits of their extensive digital features including tracking their workouts, and a use of a virtual fitness trainer.  The new gym and free weights areas will be bigger and more spacious.

The temporary fitness suite is now open and is located on the second floor incorporating existing equipment and a temporary improved strength zone with 4 bay rig and associated equipment.

This latest leisure investment comes on the back of a recent upgrade at Ballyearl Leisure Centre, including a suite of new Technogym interactive equipment as well as TopTracer virtual golf technology.
