Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council are now offering exercise for mental health sessions at three of the Council’s leisure centres. Classes begin 20 February and are designed to improve overall mental health and wellbeing.
The MORE Movement for your Mind class is a blended programme with light to medium group-based exercise that will improve people’s overall physical and mental well-being. Sessions are available to book in advance online and are free for members;
The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Alderman Stephen Ross said;
“I’m delighted to launch the MORE Movement for your Mind classes. Improving our mental health and wellbeing is important as we deal with daily challenges of life. “Our leisure centres are continually enhancing our current activity programmes to ensure they meet the growing demands of our customers.”

The MORE Movement for your Mind classes will focus on developing your fitness, calming your mind, strengthening your muscles, improving your bone density, balance and increasing your self-esteem.
