Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council will host Armed Forces Day on Saturday 22 June 2024 in Newtownabbey.
This annual event which takes place across the UK to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, is a spectacle to behold and attracts thousands of visitors from across Northern Ireland and beyond.
The Council is thrilled to host this prestigious event again having previously hosted Armed Forces Day 2016 in Antrim. This is a family fun day where all communities can experience a great line up events and soak up the carnival atmosphere.
The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Mark Cooper BEM said;
“I am delighted that Armed Forces Day 2024 will return to the Borough in Newtownabbey. This significant event is a great opportunity to show our support and give thanks to our military personnel both past and present including our veterans and cadets. This event will attract thousands of visitors to our Beautiful Borough, supporting our local traders and tourism providers.”
