Council Awarded with iESE Certificate of Excellence

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has been awarded with an iESE Certificate of Excellence in recognition of the exemplary standard of work demonstrated by the Council.

The iESE Public Service Transformation Awards celebrates the best in local public services, looking for the transformations that show true innovation and which have delivered the biggest improvements to the lives of residents and local businesses.

Dr Andrew Larner, Chief Executive of iESE presented the Certificate of Excellence to the Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross; he commented;

It is my pleasure to present this Certificate to the Council in recognition of the exemplary standard of work and the innovative approaches adopted  to improve services and make a difference to the community.”

Over the past three years iESE have been collaborating with judges from public service transformation in countries across Europe, the Middle East, United States of America and Canada to compare knowledge of progress of transformation in our respective countries, allowing them to have examples of not only best UK practice but also some world-leading practice.

Receiving the award the Mayor said;

I am delighted the Council has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence as part of the iESE Public Sector Transformation Awards. This award in recognition of the work the Council has delivered for the local communities and businesses, is a testament to the dedication of our officers.”
