Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is seeking your views on its Draft Equality Scheme and Action Plan 2023 – 2026.
The Council is committed to creating a community that recognises and celebrates difference within a culture of respect and cooperation. We appreciate that a culture which promotes equality will create a positive environment and a shared sense of belonging for all who live, work and visit here.
This Equality Scheme and Action Plan promote the Council’s commitment to learn, develop and deliver inclusive and responsive services whilst supporting a diverse workforce.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman Stephen Ross said; “We are absolutely committed to ensuring that the Council becomes a beacon of good practice in the way we work to support our Borough becoming a welcoming place. The commitments we are making in this plan will help us achieve this ambition and drive improvements in our services for our residents, staff and visitors.”
