Skate Jam Takes Over Skate 100 This Halloween

Skate 100  hosts Skate Jam event at the V36 on Saturday 28 October, 11am-5pm.

Skate Jam promises to be a thrilling day filled with tricks and flips of skateboarding action coupled with intense competitions and jaw-dropping tricks. The event is funded by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and will be delivered by Rawee Skateboarding.

Participants are invited to experience the thrill of showcasing their skills and impressing both the crowd and a panel of expert judges. Competitors can register across several categories including under 12s, under 16s and over 16s. There will also be a Female Skateboard competition, a Hippie Jump Contest as well as the Best Trick competition, which is sure to wow the audience.

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Mark Cooper said,

“This is another exciting event that the Council is offering over Halloween. Skate 100 has proven to be a well-established recreational space and it’s important that people in the area can showcase their skills that they’ve practised here since the skate park opened.”

Skate 100 opened in May 2022 and has led to a rise in people getting involved in skateboarding, scootering and BMXing. The Jam invites participants from a variety of age groups to show off their unique moves and style. From impressive flips to daring grinds, it promises to be an awe-inspiring acrobatics for spectators to enjoy.

Registration will be available on the day of the event and prizes will be won in each category.
