Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Neil Kelly said;
“The DAERA-funded grants are a fantastic initiative that will greatly benefit rural businesses throughout the Borough. This announcement will be welcomed by those looking to grow and invest in essential new equipment."
The scheme is open to existing businesses with fewer than 10 full-time employees for capital items between 16 October 2024 and 12 noon on 08 November 2024. The grants are at a maximum of 50% grant rate, up to £4,999. Capital items include, for example, equipment, machinery, computers and e-commerce websites. Building works are not eligible for funding under this Programme.
Your project can cost up to £20,000 with a maximum grant of £4,999 and a minimum grant of £500. Your business must be already actively trading and in a rural part of the Borough; if you’re not sure if where you are based within the rural area, just contact us and we’ll be able to help.
You must attend one of our pre-application workshops in order to be eligible to apply for funding:
