Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress walk from Antrim Civic Centre to Mossley Mill in aid of charity.

The Deputy Mayor Councillor Paul Dunlop BEM and Deputy Mayoress Mrs Heather Dunlop, have successfully completed their charity walk from Antrim Civic Centre to Mossley Mill in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support (Antrim Area Hospital).

The wet weather conditions didn’t dampen their spirits as Paul and Heather set off from Antrim Civic Centre yesterday to complete the 13.7 mile walk to Mossley Mill.

Speaking after his charity walk, the Deputy Mayor Cllr Paul Dunlop paid tribute to those who have supported them; he said; “I would like to thank everyone who has donated funds, sent well wishes and showed their support for Heather and I. These two charities have previously helped our families and we are absolutely thrilled to be able to raise much needed funds to help support the great work they provide daily in our communities.”

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Councillor Neil Kelly was there to welcome them at the finish line extending his congratulations to them both on this great achievement.

Paul and Heather have to date raised £1,500 exceeding their target of £1,000.
