Following the success of two Medical Administration Training Academies delivered earlier this year in other council areas, the Northern GP Federation Support Unit (NFSU) is delighted to announce to share that funding has now been secured to bring this successful initiative to Antrim and Newtownabbey, beginning January 2026.
Delivered in partnership with and funded by the Antrim and Newtownabbey Labour Market Partnership (LMP), this 8-week programme is designed to prepare participants for administrative roles within general practice by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in a busy healthcare environment.
The programme builds on the strong outcomes achieved through previous academies, which saw 100% of participants complete the training, and over half securing either employment or work experience within local GP practices.
