Garden Show Ireland Blooms Again at Antrim Castle Gardens This Weekend!

The countdown is on! Garden Show Ireland returns this weekend for its 21st year, running from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June 2025 at the stunning Antrim Castle Gardens.

From gardening enthusiasts and foodies, to families and their four-legged friends, this event is a true celebration of outdoor living.

Show Ambassador, David Domoney (known for Love Your Garden and This Morning) will share his passion for plants and sustainable gardening through a brand NEW ‘Garden in Glass’ Exhibition featuring an array of terrariums and bottle gardens. David will also be hosting his very own ‘Wheelbarrow Garden Challenge’ – a vibrant display of 34 miniature gardens inspired by movies and creatively designed by local community groups using wheelbarrows. Vote for the one that deserves the red carpet treatment.

Get all the gardening guidance you need at Coleman’s Garden Centre’s Garden Stage, hosted by TV favourite Pamela Ballantine. Hear top tips and talks from leading experts including David Domoney, Marie Staunton, Paul Smyth and Niall McCauley.

Food lovers will be spoilt for choice with delicious local vendors and live cooking demos hosted by Brian Magill (Friday), Paula McIntyre (Saturday) and Noel McNeil (Sunday) at the Theatre Kitchen and a variety of sumptuous stalls within the Artisan Food Village.

Wander through two stunning Show Gardens, browse the extensive Plant Mall, and find unique treasures at the Craft NI market stalls. Once you've explored, unwind with a refreshing pint from the licensed bar by Hilden Brewery while enjoying live music from local artists at The Junction Container Bar.

Remember, don’t leave your furry friends at home—Garden Show Ireland is pet-friendly! Visit the tail-wagging fun Pooch Patch, hosted by Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary for a dog show, agility showcase and prizes up for grabs for Fancy Dress, Best Trick and Baggiest Tail.

Families can enjoy Mini Golf, a Bubble Bike, Bush craft Adventures, Messy Play sessions by Sensory Kids, the Really Rubbish Scarecrow Wood, and plenty more outdoor adventures.

Dad won’t be bored this Father’s Day weekend either! He can sample craft beers, explore outdoor living with Coleman’s Garden Centre’s range of hot tubs and garden rooms, browse decking, power and gardening tools from Islandbawn Stores, and take part in a fun Father and Child Fly Casting Competition along the banks of the Six Mile Water.

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick, said, “As an Antrim local, I am delighted to see Garden Show Ireland return to Antrim Castle Gardens this year. This event is great fun for people from all walks of life, whether you’re an avid gardener or just looking for a fun family day out. It’s great to see our community brought together through each of the different elements the show has to offer."

The event is fully accessible, with an AccessoLoo Changing Places facility, a quiet room, and a breastfeeding-friendly area. Select talks at the Garden Show Stage and Theatre Kitchen will be BSL interpreted. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available (pre-booking essential via the Disability Hub at Antrim Castle Mall). An accessible park and ride service will operate from The Junction, which offers free parking, while dedicated disabled parking is also available at Castle Mall Car Park with direct access through the Barbican Gate.
