The Journeys series will begin on Saturday 21 February and end on Wednesday 13 May 2026, featuring the following shows:
Words on the Wind - Saturday 21 February, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
A performance of spoken word and poetry inspired by the landscapes that shaped one of Ireland’s most loved poets, Seamus Heaney.
Echo’s of the Land - Saturday 28 February, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
A music-led story of two remarkable women, Jenny O'Doherty in 1848 and Isabel Louden in 1909, as they leave Ireland behind to forge new futures in America.
From Ireland to Appalachia - Saturday 7 March, 7.30pm to 9.20pm
A musical journey tracing the path of traditional Irish Music as it crossed the Atlantic and found new life in the Appalachian Mountains. Expect live performances of traditional music alongside Appalachian folk and bluegrass.
Return to The Native - Wednesday 13 May, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Thomas Hardy’s The Return of the Native follows Eustacia Vye, a spirited young woman yearning for escape and fulfilment as her passions lead to inevitable tragedy.
With live music, humour and inventive multi-role performance, Hotbuckle Theatre brings this timeless classic to life.
