Known for swimming the length of Britain, cycling across Europe, and completing 105 Ironman races in 105 days, Sean Conway shares what it really takes to push past physical and mental limits. Karen Darke, a Paralympic athlete, recounts her incredible handbike journeys across some of the world’s toughest terrain, while Simon Yates, famous for his extreme mountain climbs, tells powerful survival stories from the world’s highest and most remote peaks.
The Adventure Talk Series is designed to bring together world-class explorers to share honest, inspiring stories of challenge and determination. These are not just tales of extreme feats, they are human stories about courage, perseverance and discovering what you’re truly capable of.
The series will draw to a close with the Banff Mountain Film Festival on Thursday 30 April, screening a selection of short adventure films at Theatre at The Mill. This final event is the perfect high-energy finale to an inspiring programme.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick said, “This exciting series is a completely new concept for Theatre at The Mill and I hope it will motivate audiences to discover their own potential and learn from some truly remarkable individuals.”
