World Children’s Day – Bringing Joy to Families in Need

Budding Young Gardeners Flourish

Local children across the Borough were celebrated for their creative ‘really rubbish scarecrows’ whose aim was to attract birds rather than chasing them away. These scarecrows were displayed at Antrim Castle Gardens during the 2023 Garden Show Ireland and were judged on themes including Best in Show, Most Eco-Friendly, Most-Imaginative, Quirkiest and Best at attracting Birds. The pupils were praised for their imaginative efforts at Northern Ireland’s leading horticultural event at an awards presentation held in CAFRE Greenmount Campus.
