Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council have launched their Community Capacity Building Programme 2024, with courses running from January to March 2024.

The purpose of the programme is to develop the capacity and skills of individuals from groups within the Borough and to have a positive impact on the number and quality of successful community development projects delivered in the Borough.

Courses January - March 2024

All courses are for volunteers / paid staff belonging to community and voluntary groups within the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area or for those living in the Borough but volunteering with organisations outside the Borough.

Our next programme will begin in January 2024 and will run until March 2024. 

All the courses are free to attend this year, and booking is essential E. cpbs@antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk

Women's Introductory DIY Workshop - Fully Booked

Eligibility

Those eligible to attend include volunteers from a range of community/voluntary groups who are involved in community work within the Borough.  Applicants who have not taken part in any capacity building training before will be given priority, but all volunteers from groups from within the Borough can apply and will be considered.  Places are restricted to 2 volunteers per community group/organisation and all applicants must be over 16 years of age.
