A Lived Experience Approach to Tackling Domestic Abuse

Antrim and Newtownabbey Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), in partnership with the PSNI,  welcomed Rachel Williams to the Borough to deliver her impactful Domestic Abuse Survivor Training.

This powerful and informative session was designed for professionals working in the field of domestic abuse, as well as anyone with an interest in better understanding the experiences of survivors and how to support them. Drawing on her own lived experience, Rachel provided a compelling insight into the realities of domestic abuse, equipping attendees with practical knowledge, empathy, and tools to make a difference.

More About EVAWG

More About EVAWG

Violence against women and girls is a systemic and deep-rooted problem in our society. It is a problem that is hidden in plain sight and every day we see how it is affecting the lives of women and girls, wherever they learn, live, and work.

Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) is a seven year programme mandated by the Northern Ireland Executive which will address the whole range of gender-based violence, abuse and harm which is disproportionately experienced by women and girls, and which is rooted in gender inequality.

There is something everyone can do. Let’s get started.
