Following a successful training event last February with Professor Jane Monckton Smith OBE, we are delighted to welcome Barrister-at-Law Sarah Ellis and Bridie Anderson as our next guest trainers.

In support of our Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) campaign, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, in collaboration with The Executive Office, the Department of Justice and the PSNI, are proud to welcome Sarah Ellis, Barrister-at-Law, and Bridie Anderson to the Theatre at The Mill, Newtownabbey on 9 June from 9.30am–4.00pm.

Sarah and Bridie will lead interactive training sessions, sharing their expertise and insights to support professionals in understanding the impact of violence against women and girls, recognising patterns of abuse, and strengthening responses to protect those at risk.

More About EVAWG

More About EVAWG

Violence against women and girls is a systemic and deep-rooted problem in our society. It is a problem that is hidden in plain sight and every day we see how it is affecting the lives of women and girls, wherever they learn, live, and work.

Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) is a seven year programme mandated by the Northern Ireland Executive which will address the whole range of gender-based violence, abuse and harm which is disproportionately experienced by women and girls, and which is rooted in gender inequality.

There is something everyone can do. Let’s get started.
