Celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge in Antrim and Newtownabbey

Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international festival that celebrates Irish language and the richness of Irish culture. Each year, from 1–17 March, communities across the world take part in a vibrant programme of cultural, educational, and community‑focused events designed to promote and celebrate the Irish language.

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough are involved in the celebrations with a diverse range of activities supported by the District Council Good Relations Programme (DCGRP). The programme is jointly funded by The Executive Office (TEO) and local councils as part of the Together: Building a United Community (T:BUC) Strategy, helping to bring people together through shared cultural experiences.
