Irish Language Activity Book for Nursery and Primary Schools

As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2026, the Good Relations Team has developed a fun Activity Book for nursery and primary school pupils. The activity book introduces children to the Irish language and culture through stories and colouring in, focusing on topics including:

  • Irish Phrases and Place Names
  • Irish Myths and Legends
  • Learning Irish Through Colour
    • Space
    • Life at Sea
    • Spring
    • Easter

Schools can also take part in an optional “Irish Myths and Legends” dress-up day, where pupils can dress as characters from Irish folklore.

Schools are encouraged to share photos and completed colouring pages for the Seachtain na Gaeilge prize selection. Submissions are accepted until 23 March.

To participate, schools can apply E. goodrelations@antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk
